I was born in the Milwaukee area and grew up in southeastern WI. I graduated from college cum laude with honors. I dove into my career as a physical therapist, working hard and staying extra hours to help out. I moved to Kentucky in 1993, continuing my career as a physical therapist, and entering the world of management. I loved leading and mentoring staff, as well as serving on committees and teams. I participated on several teams at my church in many capacities; serving, leading and teaching. I was super busy but believed the more I was doing, the more I was living. For many years I was unaware of the effects of performance, perfectionism and people pleasing was leaving on my life. I eventually hit the wall of exhaustion; mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. That’s when I started to discover that it wasn’t my job to do everything for everyone. I had to learn to say “no” to some things so that I could say “yes” to the things that actually fuel me. After taking time to heal my body, mind and spirit, I’m ready to share my accumulated knowledge and experience with other hurting humans. My life experiences and training have become the foundation for Trillium Health and Restoration, and my second career blending together Physical Therapy and Holistic Health Coaching.

Michelle Wiesner’s Story

Michelle’s Training

Graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. with honors in Physical Therapy. I worked at Columbia Hospital in Milwaukee for about 18 months, in acute orthopedics, outpatient musculoskeletal, rheumatology clinic and cardiac rehab. After moving to Kentucky I worked at Baptist Health Lexington for nearly 30 years with over 18 years in management. My primary clinical experience is in lymphedema care, breast cancer rehab, and wound care. I am a certified Lymphedema therapist (effective since 1999 through Klose Norton Training and Consulting), and a certified ASTYM provider since 2012. I’ve pursued additional training in health, nutrition, mental health, stress management, selfcare, etc., understanding that these aspects of our health are all interconnected. I completed the Health Coach Certification program with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2016, and an additional Hormone Health program in 2019. I regularly attend  lectures and interactive sessions for spiritual healing and the power of prayer, including Neil Anderson’s Steps to Freedom. I am a lifelong learner around nutrition, mental health, spiritual health and self care.

Michelle’s Passion

I love helping people have a high quality of life…to REALLY LIVE a rich and abundant life. I especially love sharing what I have learned and applied to my own life with other women. We are “fearfully and wonderfully made” and sometimes sorting that out is a little easier with a joint effort. I bring a holistic approach to my coaching as our body, mind and spirit are deeply interconnected. It’s helpful to have someone to coach, journey with and support you as you find out what works well for your body, mind and spirit. My passion is to meet you where you are to equip, encourage and support you on your journey towards your health and wellness goals.
